Checklist voor de bronvermelding via APA
APA bronvermelding, de meesten van ons krijgen per direct hoofdpijn bij het horen van dit woord. Als je gebruik maakt van bronnen in een verslag of onderzoek dien je daarnaar te verwijzen. De bedoeling is dat er achteraan je verslag een bronnenlijst wordt opgenomen. Alle literatuur waarnaar je verwijst, of waaruit je citeert is hier terug te vinden. Bij de voorbeelden is er gebruik gemaakt van niet-bestaande gegevens.
Boeken in de bronnenlijst
De volgorde die je aan moet houden is als volgt: Achternaam, Voorletter. (Jaar). Titel. Plaats uitgever: Uitgever
Een voorbeeld = Zwaan, M. (1997). Voorbeeld boek. Rotterdam: Black Publishing
Als er twee auteurs zijn, noem je beide namen met: ‘, &’ achter de eerste naam. Zijn er zelfs meer dan twee auteurs? Gebruik dan achter elke naam een ‘,’. Bij de laatste plaats je weer het ‘&-teken’.
Ook kan het boek meerdere edities hebben. De editie zet je achter de titel op deze manier erbij: Voorbeeld boek (3rd ed.).

De volgorde die je hierbij aanhoudt is: Achternaam, Voorletter. (jaar). Titel. Naam blad, volume (editie), pagina’s

Bij twee of meerdere auteurs geldt hetzelfde als bij boeken in de bronnenlijst. Is er geen auteur bekend? Gebruik dan: Titel. (Jaar). Naam blad, volume, pagina.
Het verschil tussen de titel en de naam van het blad:
Naam blad = Staat op de voorkant, is echt de titel van alle inhoud
Titel = Staat boven het specifieke artikel, is de titel van één artikel.
Websites in de bronnenlijst
Hierbij is er sprake van twee soorten. Een artikel van een website, of een pagina van een website. Het verschil: een artikel van een website is slecht een deel van een pagina.
Bij een artikel gebruik je de volgorde: Achternaam, Voorletter. (Jaar). Titel. Naam blad, volume (editie), pagina’s. Geraadpleegde datum, from url

Bij een pagina gebruik je: Achternaam, Voorletter. (datum artikel). Titel pagina. Website. Retrieved datum, from url.

Boeken in de lopende tekst
In de lopende tekst vermeld je het volgende: (Achternaam, Jaartal, Paginanummer). Het paginanummer noteer je bij een citaat. Een voorbeeld is: (Zwaan, 1997, p.83). Bij 2 auteurs gebruik je een ‘&-teken’ tussen de achternamen. Bij meer dan 2 auteurs gebruik je ook ‘, ‘ en bij de laatste pas het ‘&-teken’.
Artikelen in de lopende tekst
Bij artikelen plaats je in de lopende tekst: (Achternaam, Jaartal, Paginanummer). Dit is hetzelfde als bij de boeken in de lopende tekst. Ook hier geldt hetzelfde bij twee of meer auteurs.
Websites in de lopende tekst
Voor het vermelden van een website geldt: (Achternaam, Jaartal). Als er geen auteur is, gebruik je in plaats van de achternaam de titel. Overigens geldt dit ook bij de boeken en artikelen. Als er dus geen naam/auteur bekend is, gebruik je de titel.
